As I’m coming out of isolation after testing positive for Covid-19, I’m sharing my Coronavirus symptoms timeline with y’all. I’m doing this in hopes that others with experiences similar to mine can spot it early on. Of course, I’m not a medical professional, and I’m not here to offer any Covid-19 advice. Along with my Coronavirus symptoms timeline, I’m sharing a few items that brought me comfort while I was sick. This is not a recommended cure for Covid-19, but rather just items that might be nice to have stocked in case you come down with Covid-19, too. Coronavirus Symptoms Timeline
Here is the Coronavirus symptoms timeline I experienced, day by day. If you want more detail regarding each day, be sure to check out our YouTube video where I tell a little more about what each day was like.
When Was I Exposed To The Virus?
I believe my exposure to the virus occurred 4-5 days before I started showing symptoms. This is because I came into contact with an acquaintance who received his positive Covid-19 result 1-2 days after we came into contact. I was with a few other people when I came into contact with the Covid-19 positive individual, and one other member of our group started showing symptoms 4-5 days later as well, exactly when I did. He ended up experiencing a Coronavirus symptoms timeline very similar to mine.
What Brought Me Comfort While Sick with Covid-19
Here are some items I recommend having stocked in case you come down with your own Coronavirus symptoms timeline. This list is not exhaustive, and they are not recommended cures for Covid-19. You need to talk to your doctor for Covid-19 cures and treatment plants. However, these are some items that helped alleviate the symptoms a tad for me. I did not end up needing to take any cold medication like Nyquil during my bout with Covid-19, but I have heard that others will use cold medication to alleviate their symptoms.
- Humidifier
- Peppermint oil
- Burt’s Bees Lip Balm (The ChapStick brand seemed to dry my lips out, rather than moisturize them.)
- Tissues infused with Lotion
- Daily Multivitamin
- Vitamin D
- Immune System Support Drink
- Chamomile tea
Again, talk to your doctor before self-medicating!
Which Symptoms Are On My Coronavirus Symptoms Timeline?
My Coronavirus symptoms timeline includes the following points, in order from most noticeable to least noticeable.
- Sinus congestion
- Body aches
- Runny nose
- Loss of taste & smell
- Chills
- Extremely mild, occasional cough
Day 1
On Day 1 of symptoms from Covid-19, my symptoms included the following.
- Body aches
- Chills
I felt 100%, completely fine for the first half of the day. Then, I began feeling achy over the course of 1-2 hours. It all happened very quickly. I thought I was just sore from a workout a few days beforehand, but when I started experiencing chills as well, I wondered if I might be sick. When I took my temperature, I did not have a fever.
Day 2
On Day 2 of my Coronavirus symptoms timeline, I experienced the following.
- Body aches
- Chills
I still did not have a fever, but with the body aches and chills continuing, I decided to go get tested. I thought it would be negative because I was not experiencing the “textbook” symptoms like cough, shortness of breath, fever, etc..
Day 3
On Day 3 of my Coronavirus symptoms timeline, I experienced the following.
- Runny nose
- Sinus pressure
I woke up on Day 3 without any aches or chills, but my nose was extremely runny, and my whole face felt like it was under a ton of pressure.
Day 4
On Day 4 of Covid-19 symptoms, I experienced the following.
- Stuffy nose
- Sinus pressure
- Loss of taste & smell
On Day 4, my runny nose turned into a completely stuffed up nose. It was awful. The sinus pressure continued. This was probably the most miserable day for me. This was the day I had some comfort supplies delivered, which among other things, included this humidifier. I believe this humidifier helped bring some comfort by un-stuffing my nose a bit.
Day 5
On Day 5 of my Coronavirus symptoms timeline, I experienced the following.
- Runny/stuffy nose
- Sinus pressure
- Loss of taste & smell
- Very mild, occasional cough
Day 5 was a slight improvement from Day 4 — I could breathe through my nose ever so slightly. But at this point, I completely lost my sense of taste and smell. To me, this was one of the worst aspects of the Coronavirus symptoms timeline.
Day 6
On Day 7 of my Coronavirus symptoms timeline, I experienced the following.
- Slightly less runny/stuffy nose
- Reduced sinus pressure
- Loss of taste & smell
- Very mild, occasional cough
Day 6 was the first day I started to feel better, and slightly more “human”. I found it easier to get dressed, be productive, and even hopped on my Assault Bike for a gentle workout for 20 minutes.
Day 7
On Day 7 with Coronavirus symptoms, I experienced the following.
- Slightly less runny/stuffy nose
- Reduced sinus pressure
- Loss of taste & smell
Day 7 was the last day that I felt “sick” on the Coronavirus symptoms timeline. There are still a few lingering symptoms like loss of taste & smell, but the worst part was over for me by Day 7.
Coronavirus Symptoms Timeline in Summary
This sums up the order in which I experienced symptoms for Covid-19. It is only my experience, and many others who test positive for Covid-19 have many different stories to tell. I spent a lot of time on the couch in our living room and our office, and the down-time was much needed.
