Master Bathroom Status: Work In Progress
I think the worst part is over, here! Framing, electrical, and plumbing are complete. We’re currently working on insulation & drywall, and then the really fun stuff can start. We’re in love with the mood board for this design.
Here is what it used to look like:
Since purchasing, work we have done on the master bathroom includes…
- Remove old carpeting
- Demo plaster walls & foam tile ceiling down to studs
- Add wall to separate master bath from master bedroom
- Frame out soft-close pocket door
- Replace old side-by-side windows with one large window
- Remove old knob & tube wiring and update with all new electrical
- Insulate with spray foam insulation & batt
- Add ceiling fan vented to outside
- Have plumbers rough-in plumbing for shower, toilet & double vanity
- Add recessed lighting & sconces
Work we have yet to do on the master bathroom includes…
- Finish adding vapor barrier
- Add cellulose insulation where applicable
- Frame bathroom closet
- Drywall the walls & ceiling
- Add porcelain tile flooring
- Baseboard moulding
- Custom shower pan from scratch
- Tile the shower
- Build custom double vanity
- Add plumbing finishes: sinks, faucets, shower hardware, toilet, etc.
- Paint the walls
